Monument of Public Interest -
Commissioned in 1620 by the Bishop D. João Coutinho, the construction was only concluded in 1622, being inaugurated on its patron saint’s day - Saint Anthony.
In the early 19th century due to the religious orders extinction, the National Republican Guard occupied the convent where they remain until this day.
The tiles and wood carved interiors are noteworthy.
