In the process of classification - Monument of Public Interest -

Located in the village centre it has medieval origins.

With the rise of the village to parish, in the late 15th century, the building was totally remodelled according to the Manueline and Renaissance styles.

Between the late 17th and the early 18th centuries the temple sustained several embellishment works. The main focus was the woodcarvings and tiles.

In the 19th century some facade and tower repairs were performed due to the damages sustained by the 1755’s earthquake.
