Monument of Public Interest -
This church stands next to the former convent of São Francisco, presently Faro´s Hospitality School.
The construction began in 1679, and the Cathedral’s Dean, D. Manuel Guerreiro Camacho, placed the first stone.
In 1744 the church was deeply renovated, being the most important change in features the orientation from west to east. The 1755’s earthquake damaged some parts of it which led to the renovations extension up until the 18th century.
In its interior, the glazed tiles and carved wood is worth admiring.
